1979 年, 哥哥理察服用安眠藥成癒, 治療了六個星期後決定休息一年。而妹妹凱倫卻還不想要暫停工作, 也不想要治療她的厭食症, 所以她選擇了自己出來獨唱, 並且找了一個新的製作人 Phil Ramone。雖然製作了一張專輯卻沒有發行, 因為 "Carpenters" 仍然是原經紀公司 A&M 的權利, 除非支付高達 150 萬美元的權利金。

僅管生氣, 凱倫也只能回頭與哥哥一起發行唱片。不過直到 1996 年才發行, 包括 "Lovelines"、"If We Try"、"Remember When Lovin' Took All Night"  與 "If I Had You" 四首。

1981 年, 木匠兄妹再度出版唱片。其中 "Touch Me When We're Dancing" 後來爬上了全美排行第 16 名。

1983 年, 妹妹凱倫終於因為厭食症猝死, 讓歌迷只能留下無盡的婉惜。

1983 年 10 月12 號, 木匠兄妹得到了好萊屋最高的榮譽, 可以在科達劇院外留下屬於木匠兄妹的星星, 許多的歌迷與家人都來參加。

今天要介紹的就是這首「擁我入舞 Touch Me When We're Dancing」, 這首榮獲全美熱門榜第 16 名加抒情榜雙週冠軍的歌曲, 真的很常的好聽喲。
